South Devon Brewery Ltd, South Devon Steam Brewery, Union Road, Kingsbridge, Devon.

In 1884 the South Pool Brewery of William Heath Prowse.

Known as W H Prowse & Sons Ltd until 1946. Brewing ceased 1st October 1948, all beer then being supplied by H.& G.Simonds Ltd. from the Tamar Brewery, Devonport.

Acquired by Simonds Ltd 1951 with 25 public houses owned by them and their associate company, C.W.Blundell (Plymouth) Ltd.
