Registered 1898. James Smith brewing by 1861. Registered 1898, but also as Brimscombe Brewery Co Ltd. Offered for auction September 1915 with 22 public houses. The houses realised £18,075 but the brewery was not sold until 1919 when it was bought by the Stroud Brewery Co. Ltd.
