Brewery dated from 1793 rebuilt 1887. Traded as Roberts & Co. Brewing ceased c.1895. Bought by J G Knight of Hailsham in 1901 together with the brewery at Newick that he used as a store. Brewery then sold to J Roberts of Worthing in 1902 who were wines and spirits merchants by 1906. For sale 1910 along with Ringles Cross Hotel, Uckfield and Old Brewery off-licence, Newick.
