Sidney Fussell & Sons Ltd, Cross Keys Brewery, Rode, Somerset.

The earliest documentary reference to the Cross Keys Inn is in 1730. The first certain reference to a brewhouse is in 1818. The Cross Keys Inn and the brew-house came into the ownership of Henry Fussell in 1857. He was also a baker, and he added a bakery to the complex at this time. Between 1879 and 1886, the business was acquired by Sidney Fussell, from his ten brothers and sisters. The brewery was greatly enlarged in 1903 and 1934-1935.

Acquired by Bass, Mitchells & Butlers Ltd in 1962 and was closed.

Bass used the premises for bottling until 1968 and distribution until 1992. Buildings remain.
