James Shipstone & Sons Ltd, Star Brewery, New Basford, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire

Founded by James Shipstone 1852. Registered February 1891. The brewhouse was built in about 1900 to the designs of architect William Bradford.

Acquired by Greenall Whitley & Co. Ltd. 1978 with 280 houses and closed 1990.

Most buildings remain, in use as an auction house.
