Sarah Hughes, Beacon Hotel, 129 Bilston Street, Sedgley, West Midlands.

The Beacon Hotel has a Victorian tower brewery at the rear, and it operated as a home-brew pub in the 19th century. In 1914, Sarah Hughes was brewing in Bilston: see Sarah Hughes (Bilston). Moved to the Beacon Hotel, Sedgley, after buying it at auction in 1920. A second home-brew pub, the Plume of Feathers, High Street, Dudley, was acquired in 1936.
