Brewing commenced 1992 ceased 2001 when brewery moved to Knaresborough.  
Having previously established [[Franklin’s Brewery]] in 1980, which he then sold in 1986, Sean Franklin founded Rooster’s Brewing Co. in 1993. The brewery moved to Knaresborough in 2001.

Having previously established Franklin’s Brewery in 1980, which he then sold in 1986, Sean Franklin founded Rooster’s Brewing Co. in 1993. The brewery moved to Knaresborough in 2001.

Brewing commenced in Knaresborough in 2001 after the move from Claro Business Park. In 2011, Sean Franklin decided to retire and sold the brewery to Ian Fozard and his sons Oliver and Tom.

Following the move back to Harrogate in 2018, the Knaresborough premises were occupied by Turning Point Brew Co.

They moved to larger premises in Harrogate in about 2018. There is an on-site tap room.

Some beers are marketed under the 'Outlaw Brewing' name.
