However, in November 1896 it was advertised for sale or let, details from Watkin Homfray at the Woodside Brewery in Salford.
William Seed died in 1928 and was described as a survivor of the 3 founders.
Acquired by Dutton's Blackburn Brewery Ltd in 1938 with 60 houses and brewing ceased.
