Richard Barnes, Fox, Brook Street, Wymeswold, Leicestershire.

Around 1835-55 William Wootton was the victualler at the Fox. Then by 1870, William Ford had taken over the licence.

In 1884-94, it was run by Mrs Elizabeth Hubbard (see entry) and in 1900-02 John Smith was identified as the brewer. Then in 1904, Richard Barnes was running the pub and shown as the brewer in 1906.

However, the pub was closed for £486 compensation in 1907 and there are no signs of it nowadays.
