New brewery built 1860.

Acquired privately by King & Lake, partners in Greene King December 1888 and was run separately until officially merged with Greene King & Sons Ltd in 1931.

Private company registered 1912. 36 public houses.

Brewery closed 9th October 1987 and site redeveloped.
