Two breweries are shown on the 1868 OS map of Ramsey. It's possible that these had merged by the 1890s.

Ramsey Brewery Co, West Street, Ramsey, Isle of Man.

Managed by James Radley. In 1881 he lived at 4 West Street, next to the brewery. Bankrupt by 1891. Alfred Wall acquired the brewery and the Lezayne Road site in 1894-1895. 1899 trading as Ramsey Brewery, run by Alfred Wall. Merged with Woolf Brothers Ltd and Castletown Brewery Ltd to become Isle of Man Breweries Ltd. in 1899.

Royal Albert Brewery Ltd, Tower Street, Ramsey, Isle of Man.

John Lane's Star Ales at the Royal Albert Brewery from 1863. Albert Ales in 1887 (manager Alfred Wall). Lane died in 1889.

In November 1891, the Royal Albert Brewery Co Ltd was formed to take over the brewery which, it was stated, had been conducted for many years by the late John Lane of Liverpool and more recently by Alfred Wall of the Prince of Wales Hotel in Ramsey. In 1894 the company was in liquidation.

On 24 June 1899, The Isle of Man Breweries Ltd, of Douglas, was formed to acquire Woolf Brothers Ltd, the Castletown Brewery, and the Ramsey Brewery. The Ramsey brewery was closed in August 1899 and the brewing transferred to the other breweries.
