Acquired by Albion Brewery (Leeds) Ltd in 1924.

In 1888, Kelly's Directory lists Samuel Armitage Holdsworth, White Horse Hotel. In 1894, White's Directory lists Samuel Armitage Holdsworth, Victualler. This presumably explains the 'H' on the chimney.
