Pitfield Brewery, The Beer Shop, Pitfield Street, London N1.

Founded by Brian Brett August 1981 at the Two Brewers off-licence. Sold to Rob Jones 1982 and renamed the Beer Shop.

Restarted in 1986 by Martin Kemp and moved to Hoxton Square.

Merged with Premier Midland Ales 1990 and brewing was to be transferred to Stourbridge, then Sussex. However, after financial difficulties brewing in North Weald, Essex.

Pitfield Organic Brewery, The Nurseries, Nayland Road, Great Horkesley, Essex.

Local council made staying in Hoxton untenable. After using the Custom Brewery on a contract basis for a while moved out of town and in August 2006 commenced brewing here.

Moved to North Weald in 2007.


Pitfield Organic Brewery, c/o Ashlyns Farm Shop, Epping Road, North Weald, Essex.

Brewing commenced 2007 following move from Great Horkesley. Epping Brewery Co is used for its non-organic products.

In 2012 became Dominion but latter now brewed at Red Fox Brewery.
