Founded by brothers Alaric and Quentin Neville, who had acquired the Phipps and NBC brand names.

The brothers took four years to research the recipe of the flagship brew, Phipps IPA and this was brewed at [[Davies' Brewing Co]], Grainstore Brewery, in Oakham. The intent is to locate a microbrewery, and possibly a pub, completing the circle after just over 200 years.

In March 2014 the company returned production to Northampton by restoring the former [[Ratliff & Jeffrey Ltd]] Albion Brewery on Kingswell Street.
 
In August 2015, the Albion Bar was opened at the brewery.
