Founded by Roger White in April 1988. Located in the former school-house at Quoyloo, a full-mash 10-barrel Peter Austin plant.

Merged with Atlas Brewery Ltd. in 2004 to become part of the Highland & Island Breweries.

This went into administration in 2006 and was acquired by Sinclair Breweries Ltd.

They announced that the Atlas Brewery at Kinlockleven will be closing and the beers produced on a new plant Orkney in 2010.

A visitor centre is provided at the site (open Spring-Autumn), accommodated in a Victorian former school-house. There is a shop, and regular brewery tours.
