Registered as the Openshaw Bridge Brewery Co. Ltd in June 1883 to found a brewery at Tamworth Street, Openshaw.

Name changed as above 1897 when they moved to Brook Street, West Gorton.

Acquired by Hope & Anchor Breweries Ltd in 1957 with 125 public houses.

Brewery demolished 1968.
