Brian Glover writes: "The Old Swan Brewery was in operation until the 1880s. It was in the hands of the Lovatt family for some 50 years, first Richard and then Edward. It was sold at auction in 1886 to Evan Morris and seems to have stopped brewing around then. It was later a Border Brewery house for many years."

Now a Hyde's pub, it retains old raised lettering on the frontage: 'OLD SWAN BREWERY', and dated 1811.

Old Swan Brewery, 6 Abbot Street, Wrexham.

Brian Glover writes: "The Old Swan Brewery was in operation until the 1880s. It was in the hands of the Lovatt family for some 50 years, first Richard and then Edward. It became a Hyde's pub, it retains old raised lettering on the frontage: 'OLD SWAN BREWERY', and dated 1811.
