Brewing commenced 1982 by the landlord's son Paul Soden. At the time, they claimed to be Worcestershire's only brewery. Ceased in 1985 when a new brewery was established in Worcester.

Brewing commenced 1985 on the move from Upton. In 1990, they acquired the Cardinals Hat pub in Friar Street. Ceased in 1992 when the brewery moved to larger premises to the Jolly Roger Brewery at the Cardinals Hat.
