Henry Walker recorded as brewing here in 1877.
It became an Adcock, Pacey & Co house; then passed to Bindley & Co. Ltd, Ind Coope, and was also run by Ruddles for some time.
Later, it had Ansells livery.
The former Gas Dog Brewery was at the rear of the pub for a period.
