Mitchells of Lancaster (Brewers) Ltd, Old Brewery, Brewery Lane, Lancaster, Lancashire

On 1st May 1871 William Mitchell rented the Black Horse, Common Garden Street from the Corporation.

The Central Brewery was established in 1882. Registered as above in 1965.

Brewing was transferred to the Old Brewery after Yates & Jackson Ltd's closure in 1984.

Ceased brewing in 1999, and became a PubCo. Mitchell Hotels acquired the York Brewery in 2008.

In administration December 2018.
