Founded by 1814. Benjamin Mew listed in 1830. In an 1859 Directory: Mew W B & Co, 19 Union Street (Ryde), and Cowes and Newport. (See Mew's Medina Brewery). Registered December 1887.
Acquired by Strong & Co Ltd in 1965 with 144 houses and brewing ceased in 1969. Some buildings remain.
