Founded prior to 1764. After a dispute amongst the partners of [[Reid, Meux & Co]], Griffin Brewery, Sir Henry Meux left the concern in 1807 and acquired the Horseshoe Brewery. Registered August 1888. Brewing was transferred to [[Thorne Brothers Ltd]] former Nine Elms Brewery in 1921 and this renamed the Horseshoe Brewery.
