Mersey Hotel (renamed Chestergate Tavern), 66 Chestergate, Stockport, Greater Manchester SK1 1NP

A prominent pub rebuilt in 1896 by Stopford's Brewery Co. Ltd of Gorton, Manchester. The brewery's monogram and a coat of arms survive at high level, as does the original fascia lettering, obscured by a modern board sign.
