- In 1919, William Sharples Ltd of Preston with 28 pubs.
- In 1920, Hall, Hale & Co. Ltd of Preston with 28 tied houses and was closed. Brewery demolished 1964.
- In 1920, Richard Holden Ltd's Nova Scotia Brewery, Blackburn.
- In 1924, William Unsworth's Balmoral Brewery, Hindley.
- In 1927, Nuttall & Co. Ltd, Lion Brewery, Blackburn with 172 tied houses. Matthew Brown then moved their brewing operations to the Lion Brewery and closed their Preston brewery.
- In 1928, Whittle Springs Brewery Ltd with 54 tied houses.
- In 1943, Ribble Brewery Co. Ltd of Blackburn in liquidation and acquired with 12 tied houses.
- In 1947, Cleator Moor Brewery Co. Ltd with 50 houses. Brewing continued until at least 1954 but relegated to a depot by 1970s.
- In 1954, Brockbank & Sons of Kirkstanton with 20 houses.
- In June 1975, Workington Brewery Co. Ltd with about 110 public houses. This brewery was closed in 1988.
- In July 1984, Theakston Ltd of Masham, including the Carlisle Old Brewery Co. Ltd.
