Founded 1983 by Merrick Johnson, using a new Peter Austin plant.
 
Located in the former historic brewhouse at Martin Hall, where brewing last took place in about 1910. Some 18th century equipment survives, including coal-fired mash tuns, brick-lined coppers, and a well with a donkey wheel.

Founded 1983 by Merrick Johnson, using a new Peter Austin plant.

Located in the former historic brewhouse at Martin Hall, where brewing last took place in about 1910. Some 18th century equipment survives, including coal-fired mash tuns, brick-lined coppers, and a well with a donkey wheel.

Martin Ales ceased brewing in 1990.
