Founded in 1855. Registered in February 1925.

• In 1934, they acquired the Chesterfield Brewery Co. Ltd with about 100 houses and closed that brewery.
• In 1985, they acquired North Country Breweries Ltd of Hull with about 209 houses and closed that brewery.

Bought by Wolverhampton & Dudley Breweries Ltd with c.400-500 houses in 1999 and closed 2001.
