Manchester Brewery Co. Ltd, Britannia Brewery, Broadie Street, Ardwick, Manchester.

Registered in January 1888 to acquire the business of Col. James Henry Deakin from his executors.

In financial difficulties 1904 due to the purchase of unrenumerative properties and Broadbents Ltd was sold in 1905. In 1907, in order to reduce their mortgages, they sold all their properties in Wolverhampton. Some or all of these were acquired by North Worcestershire Breweries Ltd.

Acquired by Walker & Homfrays Ltd in 1912. 46 of their public houses were sold to the Palatine Bottling Co. Ltd. in 1935.
