Maclay & Co. Ltd, Thistle Brewery, 1 Junction Place, Alloa, Clackmannanshire

Founded by 1830 when James Maclay leased the Mill Brewery. The Thistle Brewery was built in 1870 and the Mill Brewery was leased to Robert Henderson & Co. Ltd. Registered in 1897.

Closed in 1999 in favour of pub management. Forth Brewing Co was founded by members of staff which for a while brewed Maclay beers.

All Maclay beer is now being brewed by the Belhaven Brewery Co. Ltd. and Thistle brewery has since been demolished.
