Founded 1669 by James Pashley and acquired by Mackeson family 1801. Registered In September 1900. Acquired by H.& G.Simonds Ltd. of Reading 1920 and was sold to Jude, Hanbury & Co. Ltd. 1929, which came under the control of Whitbread. Brewing ceased 3rd May 1968. Brewery demolished for housing.
