Lorimer & Clark Ltd, Caledonian Brewery, Slateford Road, Edinburgh, Lothian.
Founded by George Lorimer 1865. Registered January 1920.
Acquired by Vaux Breweries Ltd. 1946.
Their 214 tied houses were sold to Allied Breweries in 1980. Vaux ceased brewing here in 1987 and it is now operated as the Caledonian Brewery Co. Ltd, Slateford Road.
Brewing commenced 1987 in old buildings.
In 2004 Scottish & Newcastle, having decided to close the Fountain Brewery, took a 30% share and contracted for the brewing of their beers.
