In 2004 Scottish & Newcastle, having decided to close the Fountain Brewery, took a 30% share and contracted for the brewing of their beers.  
Vaux ceased brewing here in May 1987 and it is now operated as the [[Caledonian Brewery Co. Ltd]].  


This became 100% in 2008.Now operated by Heineken UK and Wellsare brewing there.
