A. & T. Sibeth

The following public houses were put up for auction at Salisbury on 7th December 1904:

  • 1. Crown Inn, Fontmell Magna (sold to Hall & Woodhouse Ltd., Blandford St. Mary)
  • 2. Crown, Tisbury (sold to Gibbs Mew & Co Ltd., Salisbury)
  • 3. New Inn, Donhead St. Andrew (sold to John Folliott & Sons, Salisbury)
  • 4. Rising Sun, Charlton, Donhead St. Mary (sold to Gibbs Mew)
  • 5. Benett Arms, Semley (sold to Gibbs Mew)
  • 6. Walnut Tree, Mere (sold to Matthews & Co., Gillingham)
  • 7. White Horse, East Stour (sold to Henry Hartgill, Zeals)
  • 8. Crown, East Stour (sold to Baxter & Sons, Sherborne)
  • 9. Plough, Manston (‘’bought in’’)
  • 10. Union Arms, Child Okeford (sold to Hall & Woodhouse)
  • 11. New Inn, Child Okeford (sold to J. L. Marsh & Sons Ltd, Town Brewery, Blandford Forum)
  • 12. Crown, Ibberton (sold to Marsh & Sons)
  • 13. Seymer Arms, Shillingstone (sold to Hall & Woodhouse)
  • 14. Old Ox, Shillingstone (sold to Woolmington Brothers, Sherborne)
  • 15. Star Inn, East Street, Blandford Forum (sold to a Mr. F. C. Reed)
  • 16. White Hart, East Street, Blandford Forum (sold to Gibbs Mew)
  • 17. Churchill Arms, formerly Railway Inn, Bailey Gate, Sturminster Marshall (sold to Marston’s Dolphin Brewery Ltd, Poole)
  • 18. Star, Sixpenny Handley (sold to John Folliott & Sons)
  • 19. Traveller’s Rest, Three Legged Cross, near West Moors (leasehold, sold to Gibbs Mew)

Prior to the 1904 sale the Sibeth brothers had also owned:

  • 20. White Hart, Shroton (Iwerne Courtney) which had been repossessed in 1903 by the Pitt- Rivers estate, along with the former Packard & Son brewery
  • 21. New Inn, Okeford Fitzpaine, which was later owned by Hall & Woodhouse.
