The business appears to have been established circa 1902, perhaps on the acquisition of an earlier brewing business on an unknown site in Wing Road, Linslade, run by  E. J. Bishop. The latter had, in 1884, acquired the public houses and inns in Leighton Buzzard - some with their own brewhouses - owned by the Gurney family (see Slapton and Rowsham). The Brewery, which survives, seems to have been constructed at this time.
Mike Brown’s A Brewers Compendium – A Directory of Buckinghamshire Breweries includes much detail about the history of the business. It was registered in 1904 as the Linslade Brewery Co Ltd., with a capital of £1,000 to acquire breweries in Leighton Buzzard and Linslade. It is unclear what businesses these might have been, but William Yirrell was brewing at the Bedford Arms, 2 Old Road, Linslade in 1902 (still trading), whilst William Howe of the Stag's Head, Wing Road, was listed as a brewer for the period 1892-1902 and may have continued after that date.
In April 1906 a licence for off-sales from the brewery was granted to Gilbert John Monson, who had purchased the business in March 1905 for £1,100 and had since spent a further £450 on improvements.
On 29th October 1906 he was bankrupt. At that date he had been at the Linslade brewery for some 30 months. However he continued to be listed as brewing there from 1906 to at least 1909, although in 1907 the business was trading as Monson and Co.
It is unclear when brewing on the site ceased. As far as can be ascertained the business was not acquired by another brewery company, and probably did not own any pubs.
