Joshua Tetley & Son Ltd, 21 Hunslet Road, Leeds, West Yorkshire
Founded before October 1822 when Joshua Tetley acquired William Sykes' brewery. Registered July 1897.
As Joshua Tetley, they acquired the following breweries:
- T. & W. R. Dickinson (Formby). Acquired 1949 with 3 pubs.
- Duncan Gilmour & Co. Ltd (Sheffield). Acquired with 342 houses in 1954 and ceased brewing 1959.
- Whitaker & Co. Ltd (Bradford). Acquired in 1959 with 119 houses.
- Melbourne Brewery (Leeds) Ltd. Acquired in 1960 and brewing ceased one year later. Owned 245 public houses.
