J S Holland was the tenant at the Red Lion and the brewery tap, the Kings Head. He had at least one other public house.

In 1910, there was a sale of the 4 quarter brewery with an 8 quarter malting. It was bought by William Jesse Rodwell of Tring.

Brewing ceased in 1935, the same year Tring stopped brewing on its sale to Meux's Brewery Co. Ltd.
