Joseph McKenna lists John Lewis as the earliest landlord of this early C19 home-brew house. After him, his son William, then the Meanley family. John Foley (Dudley) (Kate's Hill Brewery, Dudley), bought the house in 1879.

James C Guest was recorded in 1935 and William Easthope in 1940.

The pub was acquired by J. P. Simpkiss of Brierley Hill, and thence to Greenalls.
