John Jeffrey & Co. Ltd, Heriot Brewery, Roseburn Terrace, Edinburgh, Lothian.

Acquired the Heriot Brewery, Grassmarket, in 1837. Built a new brewery at Roseburn in 1880 and sold the old brewery in 1900.

Private company registered July 1934 and a public company was formed in 1958.

A merger to create Northern Breweries of Great Britain Ltd in 1960.

The owners Bass Charrington Ltd closed the Heriot Brewery in 1992.
