Acquired by Salt & Co. Ltd. 1902 and the brewery was leased to Magee, Marshall & Co. Ltd. of Bolton who brewed there for 2 years. Then the water from the brewery was transported to Bolton until 1909 when they acquired land for their own pumping station.
