Joseph Plant brewed here to 1899. Registered 1899 as the Diamond Brewery Co. Ltd, but the company was bankrupt two years later. The 5-quarter brewery, the brewery tap (an off licence), together with The Black Horse and The Loving Lamb, were sold at auction to Hutchings and Jackson. The partnership between William Edward Colebrook Hutchings and John Frederick Cecil Jackson was dissolved with effect from 31 December 1906. The brewery then traded as J F C Jackson.
