Established in 1991 by the Hampshire soft drinks company Hartridge & Sons Ltd.

In 1993, they acquired Burt & Co and adopted the Burt name and brands. They renamed themselves Burts Brewery (Newport) Ltd.

Burt's Brewery in Ventnor was closed.

In 1996 they moved to Sandown and became:
