Founded in 1983 to continue brewing at the former Trent Brewery Co. Ltd (later Everards Ltd) and to preserve the brewery as a working museum controlled by a charitable trust.

Brewing commenced 1985; ceased 1995. It was later occupied for short periods by Bevvied Bull Brewery (1998-1999); and by Burton Old Cottage Beer Co (2000-2001).

Site developed into Burton Village (residential) 2010.
