Gwent Ales, aka Silverthorne Gwent Ales, Little Mill Brickworks, Usk Road, Pontypool, Torfaen

Brewing commenced in February 1981 by Philip Silverthorne.

In 1984 the brewery moved to Pontnewydd.


Gwent Ales, aka Silverthorne Gwent Ales, Unit 88, Springvale Industrial Estate, Pontnewydd, Cwmbran, Torfaen.

Brewing commenced here in 1984 but ceased 1985.
