Arthur Guinness Son & Co. Ltd, St.James's Gate, Dublin, Ireland.

Founded 1759.

Registered October 1886. Became part of Diageo.

In 2008 they announced that brewing will be transferred to a new brewery built within Dublin and St James Gate will be redeveloped.

Opened 1936 to supply the southern half of England but closed in 2008.


The Dublin brewery features in The Noted Breweries of Great Britain and Ireland by Alfred Barnard published 1890.
