Greenall Whitley & Co. Ltd, Wilderspool Brewery, Wilderspool Causeway, Warrington, Cheshire.

Founded 1762 at St.Helens and the Warrington brewery was established in 1787. Private company registered October 1880 and public company formed 1952.

In 1990, it closed its breweries at Warrington and Nottingham to become a pub chain, which was later itself bought.

Wilderspool Brewery demolished 1993 but offices remain.


Greenall Whitley & Co. Ltd, Hall Street, St.Helens, Merseyside.

Founded here in 1762. Closed April 1975.
