Home brew house with a malt-extract plant, founded in August 1981 by Stan Barrett.
 
Produced the following draught beers only:- Golden Island Bitter, Golden Thames Bitter, Golden Essex Ale, Gold Top Lager and Gold Top Pils. From March, 1984, Burton Ale was also produced all being keg beers.  


Home brew house with a malt-extract plant, founded in August 1981 by Stan Barrett and sold to Peter Burton but closed 1985.
In March, 1984, Stan Barrett sold out to Peter Burton, who ran the brewery only for another year, closing down in March, 1985. The keg beers were brewed for the public house and the Goldmine Disco upstairs.
