Gillespie, Sons & Co. Ltd, Crown Brewery, Slatefield Street, Glasgow, Strathclyde.

New brewery built 1882 when known as Gillespie, Gray & Co. who moved from the Crown Brewery, Gallowgate.

Registered 1895. Wound by 1908 with a view to reconstruction.

May have concentrated operations at Dumbarton by 1911. The Crown Brewery closed during Word War 1.


Gillespie, Sons & Co.(Brewers) Ltd, Brewery Road, High Street, Dumbarton, Strathclyde.

Registered October 1944. Closed 1953.
