A label from the 1930s.

Owned by the Crow family by at least 1821. Leased to Charles Leney in 1838 and then Augustus Leney in 1873.

Registered 1895 with 156 houses.

Acquired by Whitbread & Co. Ltd. 1927 and houses were sold to Fremlins Ltd. in 1961.

Closed 1981. Brewery demolished and is now a housing estate.

The weather vane from the brewery roof is now on top of the local hotel.
