Brewery originally occupied by Aldridge & Co, who became bankrupt 1906.
Acquired by Frampton Brothers 1907 who were brewing at Pokesdown. Public houses sold to Eldridge, Pope & Co. Ltd. 1920 but they carried on the business supplying the family trade until 1934 when it was sold to Hammerton & Co. Ltd. of London. Brewery demolished 1956, malthouse survived until 1974.
