Erected for Duncan King 1884. Duncan King & Co. offered for sale 1888 with seven houses.
George Hickton moved from the Carrington Brewery Co and took over the former Forest Brewery premises where he produced hop bitters and mineral waters in partnership with Henry Dickins. It became George Hickton & Co Ltd, and the firm later operated as bottlers.
