Elm Brewery, Eldon Street, Southsea, Portsmouth, Hampshire

Founded by John Miles in about 1840. In 1863, the brewing capacity was expanded with a new brewery on the opposite corner of Eldon and King Streets. By 1874, the company was known as John Miles and Son.

In 1896, the brewery and its tied estate of about 40 houses was sold to William Dupree, and became the home of Portsmouth United Breweries Ltd.
